Who is Dr. Bruner?
Dr. Marshall Bruner is the Clinical Director of Center Point. He provides a variety of therapy and assessment services to youth and their families throughout the Gainesville-Hall County community.
Dr. Bruner is a licensed psychologist with a specialty in working with children, adolescents and families. As a counselor, many of the areas he addresses include:
- Anger management
- Parent-child conflict
- Social skills deficits
- Anxiety
- Depression
Dr. Bruner has worked with Georgia’s Division of Family and Children Services (DFACS) in various counties throughout the state, addressing issues related to foster and adoption; childhood trauma; and behavioral outbursts at home or school.
He also provides psychological evaluations for children and adults. Some areas addressed in his evaluation process involve difficulties sustaining attention in academic or work settings, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety and mood issues, and other mental disorders. Dr. Bruner also evaluates how personality issues and concerns impact functioning across all settings, and he provides child custody evaluations when requested by the courts.
In addition to his counseling skills and credentials, Dr. Bruner is an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church, having served in six churches throughout North Georgia. This combination of pastoral gifts and clinical skills gives him an exceptional ability to work with children and families to promote healing and wholeness.
