Dr. Crossley is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who specializes in providing psychological/psychoeducational evaluations for children and adults with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities (dyslexia/dyscalculia), and other emotional and behavioral difficulties. She takes an integrative and inclusive approach to assessment, ensuring an understanding of multicultural, social, and socioeconomic variables that impact recommendations and access to care. She has extensive experience providing assessments from her work in private practice along with experience in providing educational counseling to students in primary and secondary education, crisis intervention, outreach and consultation in a university setting, and offering clinical supervision to pre-doctoral psychology students.

For counseling, Tamyra specializes in working with adults and couples on a variety of concerns including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, adjustment and life transitions, body image and self-worth, relationship difficulties, and sexuality. She also specializes in providing peer support/counseling for other mental health professionals and working with African American women. Overall, Tamyra prefers a client-centered, multicultural/womanist approach to therapy, incorporating evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy into treatment. While these approaches are standard for her practice, Tamyra believes in intervening therapeutically in a manner that is adaptive to client needs. She actively works to be fully present with clients through the therapeutic process and to create a safe place where clients can be their authentic selves while addressing challenges and facilitating lasting change in a collaborative manner.
